Google Maps positioning for your business in Guadalajara
Your business exists, but if it doesn't show up on the map when someone searches two blocks away, the sale goes to the place across the street. I set the profile up, get it verified, and get reviews coming in on their own.
Someone two blocks from your shop just searched "tacos near me". Google showed them three businesses in a box with a map. If your profile isn't there — or it is, but with two blurry photos and no reviews — that sale already went to the place across the street. Not because you're worse: because you didn't show up.
Creating the profile is free and you can do it yourself. Having it set up properly, verified, with photos that make people want to walk in and reviews arriving on their own is a different matter, and that's what this is.
What the package includes
- Profile setup and verification. With the primary category chosen carefully — the single decision that weighs most on whether you appear at all, and the one most often set wrong.
- Consistent details. Name, address, phone and hours identical on the profile and on your site. When they don't match, Google gets suspicious.
- Professional photo session. Of your space, your product and your team. Photos are among the first things someone comparing you to two others looks at.
- NFC and QR review stand. You leave it on the counter; the customer taps their phone and lands straight on the review screen. Nothing to search for.
- One month of local ads. Campaign setup plus that first month's budget included.
What I won't promise you
I won't promise you first place. The distance between the searcher and your location weighs more than anything else on the map, and nobody can move that: if someone searches from the other side of the city, you won't come up, however well set up your profile is.
What can be done is that when someone nearby searches for what you sell, your profile is complete, verified, with good photos and recent reviews. That's the job.
And a warning about how this is priced in the market: management and ad budget are two different numbers, and you should ask for them separately. When someone gives you a single number for "advertising", ask how much of it reaches Google. Here they're separate from the start.
How it works
I check what's there
If you already have a profile, it usually exists: Google created it on its own, or a customer did. I claim and fix it instead of duplicating it.
Set up and verify
Categories, services, hours, service area and photos. Video or postcard verification takes anywhere from a few days to two weeks, and Google sets that pace.
Reviews start coming
The NFC stand arrives and we start asking at the right moment: on handover, not three days later.
Questions I always get
What does it cost?
For market context: a setup-and-verification-only service runs around 2,500 pesos, and a local SEO agency charges from 15,000 a month upwards. This package sits in between, is one-off, and includes photos and ads. Tell me your line of business and I'll give you the number.
How long before I see results?
A verified profile with photos starts appearing within days. Reviews and movement on the map take one to three months, and depend a lot on how many people pass through your location.
Do I need a physical location?
Not necessarily. If you deliver or work a service area, Google lets you hide the address and define the cities you cover. It's configured differently, but it works.
What if I have a profile but it's abandoned?
That's the most common case, and it's cheaper than starting over: claim it, clean it, complete it. What you never do is create a new one on top, because duplicate profiles compete with each other and you lose both.
What happens when the ad month ends?
You decide whether to continue. If you do, the budget is paid directly to Google and I'll tell you what makes sense for your line of business: for a typical local business it's 1,500 to 4,000 pesos a month.
Can I offer a discount in exchange for reviews?
No, and it's worth knowing why: it breaks Google's policies and can cost you the profile. With few reviews there's nothing to dilute a penalty. You ask for them properly or you don't ask.
Shall we look at your profile as it stands?
Send me your business name. I'll look it up on Maps and tell you what's wrong before charging you anything.
